At Alex’s request, I have written a new song. I recorded the acoustic guitar, bass, and vocals. I spent maybe 25-30 minutes total. That’s all I’d planned on doing, but Colin decided to add drums, electric guitar, strings, organ, or whatever or instruments you hear.

I logged onto Myspace tonight to see if I’d gotten any new messages from Heather Stephens. I see that the “New Messages!” button has appeared, and I think, “Keen!” Little did I know I’d be getting a message from Mason, the friend of a girl who might be the love of my life.

The subject of Mason’s message was this: “My best girlfriend asked me to message you, weirddd i know but cool”

Naturally, I was intrigued. Despite the fact that his profile had no pictures and his only friend was Myspace creator Tom, I felt I could trust him. Obviously this girl means a lot to him, and even though he might think it is weirddd that he must relay her message, he wants her to be happy. Here’s the body of the message:

yea this girl who has been my best friend since ive been young hits me up. She says she sees this profile of someone that reminds her of her first crush. I dunno Im not the one who should be filling you in Ill let her.

I will let you know that she is cool as hell and gets pretty crazy at times in a fun way. to be honest i used to have a crush on her myself but its too weird now. she said she was shy or something to be the first one to initiate talk but she even posted a blog about ya or something

anyways seems like you are all she is talking about and interested in so check her out and add her up as a friend. something might work out who knows yea

All she is talking about? Talk about flattering. And that Mason. Even though he used to have feelings for her, and quite clearly still does, he still just wants her to be happy. I immediately got excited after reading this message. There was no way I was going to pass an opportunity like this up. I had to find out who this girl was.

I followed the link over to her profile and found out her name is Emily. She’s 25 years old, but I don’t mind older women, as long as our personalities match. As Mason said, she wrote a blog about me. It doesn’t mention me by name or anything, but who else could it be about? I mean, I can’t imagine Mason would send this message to anyone else. That would be a cruel way to mess with people’s hearts. Anyway, here’s her blog:

Subject: I might have found someone Ive been looking for

I was browsing profiles and I ran into a person that reminded me of my 1st crush. I read their myspace and it made me nervous because the person that I once fell for passed away when we started getting serious. I think it might be fate for me to get to know them. I am shy and I don’t know where I should take this. I hope that they are reading this. I am a special girl who is looking for a special person and I hope that myspace is it.I have always been a little wild and I hope it doesn’t offend the others. Oh well enough of me rambling. I’ll think about what Im going to do next.

Wow. He passed away? That’s a lot of pressure on me. I’m worried that she’ll want me to be that guy and not be myself. I couldn’t be in a relationship like that, having to live up to the memory of someone I never knew. But even so, it almost does seem like fate, the way we’ve been brought together. I mean, in her “About Me” section, she says that she only has four years to go until she becomes a pharmacist. My grandfather was a pharmacist! If that’s not fate, I don’t know what is.

I’m not sure how to handle this situation. What do you guys think? Is she the one for me? Should I go for it? Here’s her profile again: Emily. Check out her pictures. She has a picture of her ass hanging out showing her wild personality, which as you know, is something I’m totally attracted to. Let me know you guys. I might have to get one of my best friends to message her for me. I’m pretty shy when it comes to things like this. Hell, even if Emily and I didn’t work out, I’d still like to be friends with Mason. He seems like a stand-up fella.
