X MEN THREEEEEEE

December 1, 2005

This time it was two by two.

Another ant battle today. Not as big as the last. I’m not going to turn it into a long post this time though. I feel like I did well with the first one, and sequels are never as good. If I were guaranteed a third time for the trilogy, then I might go for it, because trilogies are sweet. But I don’t want them to come a third time. It may be enjoyable for you to hear about it, but it is nothing short of nightmarish for me.

Workin’

Filed under: RTF Projects — Shayne @ 10:33 pm

I have forty five minutes of footage to capture for my second video project. It’s only a five minute project, but it requires all of this extra footage. It is going to take forever. This is the worst part of film making, for sure. I hate tedious things like this.

I’m depressed because I don’t have an exciting wizard life.

Finished Video Project

My video project is now up for all to see. The quality isn’t great, but it would be too large of a file otherwise.

I got a 92 on it. Not bad. I’m pretty happy with that.

Tests

Filed under: Uncategorized — Shayne @ 3:37 am

Last week was super stressful for me. I had a Government test and a Psychology test on Thursday and my video project was due Friday. I got my video project done earlier that week, but did not start studying for my tests until probably around 1-1:30 am the night before the tests and didn’t even get to the Psychology material until nearly 3:30 am. It was stupid, immature, and pretty much just a bad mistake. You’d think I would have learned by now to start studying much sooner, but I didn’t. I stuck to my horrible habit of waiting to the last minute.

Psychology test grade: 89
Government test grade: 80

Those are the best grades on tests I’ve gotten in those classes.

So get the hell off my back.

Video Project

Filed under: RTF Projects — Shayne @ 8:15 pm

I shot my first video project last night. I think it’ll be pretty cool. It’s a bit darker than I wanted it to be. Light-wise, not thematically. The story is as dark as I want it. Right now I’m capturing the video. I think this is the lamest and most boring part of doing video stuff. It’s so tedious and lame. Why can’t the video just get on my computer by itself, right? Right.

I’m going to have to clean up all the fake blood soon.

Anger Management

Filed under: Uncategorized — Shayne @ 12:16 pm

I guess I can be somewhat of an angry person. I keep it inside me, though. I don’t know whether that’s good or bad, because people tell you not to bottle up your emotions, but you go yell at someone and see what they say then.

As I listen to the conversations of people in my classes and walking around, I find myself getting angry at them. For instance, any mention of the band Deerhoof makes me want to scream. Do I think I’m better than them? Well, yes. Would they probably think my conversations were dumb? Possibly, but their opinions don’t matter because I’m better than them.

I hear these damn indie kids listing all the concerts they go to or CD’s they buy. They’re talking so loudly so that everyone can hear and be impressed. Well, I am not impressed. Oh, I’m very familiar with the bands you speak of. They are not good. Are they underground? Sure. Not many people know who they are. There’s a reason. I agree, a lot of well-known bands are terrible. Your bands are just as bad if not worse.

For the record, “cute” is not a good description of music. Anyone who is reading this, know that when someone describes a band’s music as being “cute,” you don’t have to listen to it. It won’t be good.

I pretty much have the best taste in music, so just ask me what to listen to, and I’ll let you know what is right.

It is not real.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Shayne @ 5:22 pm

Well, Hetracil is in fact, not real. Here is an article that talks about it, and interviews the guy who made it. So there we go. Yay Colin for researching this further than I felt like doing.
